Here are the Drop Shipping steps involved:

  • You open an Internet Store with a shopping cart and accept credit cards on your site.
  • You open a drop ship account with the "drop ship" distributor(s) you choose.
  • You receive descriptions and images of the products you wish to sell from the distributor/ drop shipping company and put them on your Internet Store.
  • When a customer buys from your Store, they pay YOU with their credit card ( you receive the money from your customer first).
  • You login to the drop shipping company's website and place the order to the drop ship distributor with your customer's name and address.

  • The drop ship company charges you the drop ship price plus shipping. Remember you have already passed the shipping charge on to your customer, so the shipping costs you nothing.
  • The drop shipper sends the product to your customer from their warehouse with YOUR business name on the package.
  • The drop shipper will send you automated email notifications with the invoice and the tracking/confirmation number.
  • Your customer receives the product with YOUR business name on the package

Drop shipping is really that simple. You don't have to buy products in bulk and store them (no inventory risk), hoping to sell all of them. You don't have to pay to have it shipped to you, and then pay again to ship it to your customer.

How to become a reseller?

To become a reseller, you have to first open a reseller account. Most drop shipping companies will charge you a drop ship fee to open an account. Once the account is opened, you can start your business immediately. The drop ship partner will also deliver the products to your customer with your own labels and you will receive automated emails with the order status.
